How to get access to Android permissions manager?

Last Android update (4.3) has brought some new features and customizations. Some of them, however, stay hidden although it may come very handy sometime. And what I'm talking about? It's Android permissions manager that lets you allow/deny permissions for various applications.

So how do you get access to this manager? It's easy. All these stuff, including App Ops (Permissions manager) is running in the system as activity. We cannot get access to activities using stock launcher, so firstly we need something that could do that.

Method #1

  1. Get the Nova Launcher
  2. Long press the homescreen -> shortcuts -> Activities
  3. Expand "Settings" tab and choose App Ops
  4. You're done.

As you might expect, there's an app for that. It automaticlly launches this "ops" and if you are too lazy to do the tutorial above, you can just download the app.

Method #2

This app (except opening the manager) shows also the most dangerous apps in your phone so you can be informated if any virus appears on your phone.
