Discover Google's hidden theme chooser for the Google Keyboard

Every new Android version brings a lot of UI improvements, such as launcher improvements, or keyboard improvements. Older interface is usually deleted and not used anymore. But what if not? Google has made a little exception for Google Keyboard and even it's hidden, you can choose over older versions of Android keyboard interfaces!



So...How to change the keyboard's theme? Head over the tutorial.


  1. Head over Google's debug settings (The best way is in Nova Launcher settingfs -> shortcuts -> activities -> Google Keyboard)
  2. In debug settings, tap on Keyboard Theme and choose the theme you want to use.

Enable Google's Hidden Themes for the Stock Android Keyboard



There are a few basic themes: Stone (normal+bold), Gingerbread and ICS.
